SEATTLE-A burglary suspect and police officer were taken to Harborview after an officer-involved shooting in South Seattle.

Police responded to a burglary in-process on the 4000 block of 39th avenue south around 1:30 a.m. A caller to 911 reported seeing several suspects with flashlights and crowbars enter the home.

When officers arrived they were able to take two of the burglary suspects into custody without incident. The third suspect was located on the roof top.

The suspect then jumped from the roof and began fighting with the officer. During the struggle, the officer fired his weapon striking the suspect.

A man in his 20's was taken to Harborview with serious injuries. The officer was also taken to the hospital, but suffered only minor injuries in the fight.
