This week starts off with cool temperatures, precipitation, and wind, but ends with sunshine and heat.

Monday in Washington state kicks off with a chance of showers in Puget Sound, but up to five inches of snow in the mountains. And areas east of the Cascades could see wind gusts of up to 50 mph.

By Monday afternoon, the skies are expected to clear, which could bring freezing temperatures overnight.

Highs on Monday are in the mid 50s, but by the weekend will reach the mid to upper 70s. A few places may even reach 80 on Saturday.
