Seattle's Best Coffee announced Wednesday it's unveiling a 600 square foot drive-thru and walk-up mini-store meant for quick service for people on the go.

SBC, which is owned by Starbucks, said the new stand represents a change in strategy for the brand. The drive-thru features a new menu that include signature food items and combo meals offered all day.

The first store debuts in at 2990 4th Avenue in SODO. More are planned for 2013.

Customers are demanding better coffee everywhere they go and we believe we've cracked the code on how to deliver a premium cup of coffe in the fast lane at just the right price, said Jim McDermet, SBC senior vice president and general manager in a press release.
