Poor Christie. She had a rough morning at the Washington Pet Expo trying to make friends with a tarantula named Charlotte.

Christie is scared to death of spiders, and even cried a little when Charlotte got right up next to her.

The good news is, tarantulas very rarely bite -- a fact Corbin Maxey, Charlotte's handler, thought might comfort Christie.

You can go to the Washington Pet Expo and see Charlotte and all the other animals this weekend at the Puyallup Fairgrounds, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $12.
