A wildfire burning about 12 miles southwest of Lake Chelan State Park has prompted mandatory evacuations.

The 250-acre level 2 wildfire is burning grass, brush and timber off Navarre Coulee Road, which leads to the park, said Robin DeMario, spokesperson for the U.S. Forest Service. About 50 to 75 fire personnel are at the scene with three helicopters dropping water on the blaze. The fire is about 10% contained.

So far no injuries have been reported and no structures have been burned.

SR 97A is closed, but traffic is being allowed to the town of Entiat.
