Our New Day team and our viewers love books, so it is time once again to check in with our awesome librarian, Kelda Vath to see what she recommends we put on our reading lists.

Gulp: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal by Mary Roach -- a new non-fiction book about the digestive system. Mary is a funny science writer.

American Story: A Lifetime Search for Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things by Bob Dotson -- NBC Today Show host, some of his favorite stories of citizens making a difference. A feel good book.

Wonder by RJ Palacio. (Youth Fiction) It's about a boy who is disfigured and the theme of kindness. Very popular in Tacoma.

Schroder by Amity Gage This is a beautifully written novel from the perspective of a man writing to his ex-wife explaining why and how he absconds with his young daughter during a parental visit. Very compelling and would make a good discussion book!
