It's an historic week in Washington as same sex couples get married starting on Sunday.

As they gear up for special ceremonies, wedding planners are celebrating a huge bump in business.

At A and A Printing in Seattle, Todd Maloni and Mark Smith work together, and Sunday they'll become one of the first Washington gay couples to tie the knot. They've waited 18 years for this weekend.

We really wanted to wait till it was legal, said Maloni. That's why we're ready to celebrate and have fun.

We're doing quick, shotgun, Vegas. We just want it to be fun, said Smith.

They'll get married Sunday at Shotgun Ceremonies in Pioneer Square. It's a Vegas style wedding chapel co-owned by Bronwen Stevenson.

It's going to be a week of pure high, she said. I know we have a white trash wedding where box wine will be included, which is hilarious.

Shotgun is offering free weddings all next week to celebrate marriage equality.

The events will be out of the box.

Stevenson expects with gay weddings, her business could more than double this year.

There are more traditional offerings.

Picture a beautiful hotel ballroom, flowers, linens, champagne and cake. Vows Wedding and Event Planning is offering a Four Seasons wedding and party for $1,000 this weekend.

You couldn't do a backyard wedding for a thousand dollars, and here you get the Four Seasons, said Katy Griffith of Vows.

Free wedding ceremonies and parties are also being offered on Sunday at Seattle City Hall and the Paramount Theater.
