SEATTLE A pre-trial hearing was postponed Wednesday for two men charged with robberywho were with a Latino man who was stomped on by Seattle police officers, caught on video.

Hector Contreras and Pedro Jose Martinez were arrested the morning of April 17 in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood. They're suspected of robbing people in the parking lot of the China Harbor Restaurant, armed with a machete and a gun.

Contreras and Martinez were supposed to be in King County Superior Court in Seattle Wednedsay, but the judge issued a continuance. The mens' attorney told friends and family in the courtroom that it was because television cameras were there. The pre-trial hearing is now set for June 2.

They're innocent. I saw with my own eyes. I was there that night and I saw that nothing happened. They had no machete, no gun. Nothing happened and I don t think it's fair, said witness Veronica Lomeli.

These are really people who are not fair. They gave them another three weeks and, for now, they re just gonna be locked up knowing that they're innocent people, said Anna Maria Guillen, one of the suspects' girlfriends.

Contreras and Martinez were with Martin Monetti April 17, who was the man stomped in the video. Monetti was let go by police minutes after the incident.

The Seattle Police Department has launched a criminal investigation into the officers' actions.
