SEATTLE -- It took less than half an hour for Seahawks playoff tickets to sell out Tuesday. And many people who attempted to purchase tickets had difficulty getting through even before the tickets were gone.

At 10:28 a.m., the Seahawks twitter account posted that the NFCDivisional Playoff tickets were gone.

The tickets went on sale Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.

Tickets were available at or by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000, and all tickets will be distributed via Ticketmaster's TicketFast online printing.

Beforehand, the cheapest individual ticket was listed for $73 for a spot in the upper level. The highest price listed was $420.

If you're willing to buy a single ticket, that'll get you the best chance at getting a ticket, said James Kimmel, co-founder of Epic Seats, a secondary ticket seller. Maybe you and your buddies hope to meet at half time.

Once the tickets sold out, fans had to turn to websites like Epic Seats or Stub Hub for seats at elevated prices.

Before Tuesday's ticket sale, the cheapest playoff ticket on Epic Seats was around $300 and prices went over $1,000.

The game on Jan. 11 at 1:35 p.m. in Seattle is against a yet unknown opponent.

The opponent will be decided next week and it will be either the Green Bay Packers, the San Francisco 49ers or the New Orleans Saints.

The team says tickets will be limited because season ticket holders get first dibs on the seats they have been sitting in all season.
