TACOMA, Wash. -- Rainier Beach won its second consecutive 3A state boys basketball title Saturday night, beating Lakeside 62-59 in overtime. It marked the fifth time since 2002 that Rainier Beach has won a 3A title.

The Vikings (25-4) took advantage of some crucial misses by Lakeside at the free-throw line in the final seconds of regulation, then took the lead for good in overtime on Will Dorsey's drive with 1:16 remaining. Naim Ladd added a pair of free throws with 19.1 seconds left before Lakeside star Tramaine Isabell missed a 3-point shot in the final seconds.

Without a doubt, the hardest-fought win I've ever had, said Rainier Beach coach Mike Bethea, who has won six state titles, the first one coming in 1998.

Dorsey hit a driving shot with 7.5 seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 56.

Dorsey scored 13 of his 15 points after halftime, while Elijah Foster had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Vikings. Rainier Beach lost MarQuis Davis to an eye injury late in regulation and got less than 30 seconds out of star Shaqquan Aaron because of a groin injury.

Isabell scored a team-high 21 points for Lakeside and DeMarques Tyson added 14 points for the Lions (24-5).
