A few ideas of things to fill your weekend, June 8-10, from Lynn Jacobson, Features Editor for the Seattle Times:

1. Seattle International Film Festival comes to a close this Sunday with a screening of Grassroots, a comedy based on a real-life Seattle City Council race in the early 2000s -- plus a big closing-night party at the Hyatt.

2. Also winding down is Pacific Northwest Ballet's 2011-2012 season, with a Season Encore performance reprising some audience favorites of the past year, on Sunday night at McCaw Hall.

3. The Pagdiriwang Filipino festival this year pays tribute to Philippino involvement in the 1962 World's Fair. It's at Seattle Center on Saturday and Sunday.
