SEATTLE -- Seattle Police are investigating a stabbing outside of a North Seattle restaurant.

Police say a man stepped outside to smoke at a restaurant at the Oak-tree Plaza on Aurora Ave N. when he saw a large disturbance. A suspect stabbed the man in the thigh after he asked what was going on.

When officers arrived, the suspect had fled the scene. The victim refused to identify the man who stabbed him, though it is believed he knows the individual.

Police are continuing to investigate.
