Anne Willan's culinary career has spanned nearly four decades, garnering accolades every step of the way. The acclaimed authority on French cooking, cookbook author, chef and founder of the prestigious Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne (which operated in France from 1991-2007 before moving to the US) has been honored with a number of awards, including:

  • Inductee, James Beard Foundation s Cookbook Hall of Fame (2013)
  • Winner, Best International Cookbook Award and Best International Cookbook Photography Award by James Beard Foundation for THE COUNTRY COOKING OF FRANCE (2008)
  • Teacher of the Year Award, Bon Appetit Magazine (2000)
  • Lifetime Achievement Award, International Association of Culinary Professionals (1999)
