Thousands of motorcyclists converged on the Washington, D.C. area Wednesday to honor victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks and members of the military.

On its Facebook page, the group called Two Million Bikers to D.C. said it will stand by the Constitution and Bill of Rights, adding that they're against any fundamental transformation of America by any administration.

NBC4 Washington reports organizers were denied a last-minute tried permit to close some intersections near monuments and on Capitol Hill. However, permits are not required to hold a rally in the city.
