It happened just after midnight near a market at Eastlake Avenue East And East Lynn Street.

The victim told police that as the driver and other passenger waited, an unknown suspect walked up to the car and fired several shots, striking both occupants.
Police say one of the two men, a male in his 20s, died at the scene. The other male victim was taken to to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. He is also in his 20s.
Police located a car that matched a description given by witnesses and took a number of people into custody. They are still investigating whether the car or the people in custody actually are connected to the shooting.
