Seattle Parks and Recreation reopened the Burke-Gilman Trail near Northeast 117th after a weekend landslide was repaired.

The trail had been closed at Northeast 117th and Riviera Place Northeast at Lakeside Place Northeast because of a landslide.

Parks officials could not repair the area immediately because they were unable to get a crew safely into the site because of the danger of continuing slides.

The debris field was about 20 feet wide.

There is no longer a detour around the slide area.
