For the first time in 25 years, Microsoft has updated its logo, announced on the company's blog Thursday.
The logo is aimed to create continuity among all the Microsoft products.
The design is not radically different from previous logos. The type is the same font used in Microsoft products and the colored blocks, meant to symbolize a diverse portfolio of products, has been a staple of previous designs.
The logo is already in place in two Seattle area Microsoft stores, University Village and Bellevue.
