TACOMA, Wash. -- Devonte Luckett scored 12, Raymond Navarro had 11 points and David Trimble scored 10 to lead Davis of Yakima to a 48-42 win over Central Valley and its first Class 4A boys state basketball championship since 1965.

Levonte Allen hit a 3-pointer late in the third quarter to give top-ranked Davis (23-2) a 29-26 lead they never relinquished. It was the first 4A title game since 1999 between two teams from Eastern Washington.

Allen had 13 rebounds to go with five points. The Pirates made 4 of 6 free throws in the final 34 seconds to hold on.

Gaven Deyarmin had 13 points and nine rebounds to lead third-ranked Central Valley (22-4), which had won 19 straight games and had hoped to win its first state title since 1968. Austin Rehkow added seven points and seven rebounds for the Bears.

Davis won despite shooting 15 of 53 (28.3 percent) from the field, but the Pirates made 14 of 22 free throws.
