On the eve of Washington state's GOP caucuses, Washington state Republican voters overwhelmingly say presidential candidate Mitt Romney has the best chance to beat Obama in November.

According to a new KING 5 poll, Washington state Republicans say 5:1 that the economy is more important to them than social issues, and that Romney is the best Republican to tackle the nation's economy.

When Washington state Republicans were asked who they would vote for in an election today, Romney defeated Rick Santorum 38% to 24%.

When asked which Republican presidential candidate has the best chance of defeating Obama, Romney received 50% compared to Santorum 18%. Newt Gingrich got 12%.

While Romney voters said 3:1 they were happy with the field of Republican candidates, half of those who voted for Santorum said they would like to see another candidate enter the race.

Here's how the GOP presidential candidates fared in the Net Favorability rating:

* Mitt Romney - Plus 27
