An overnight cool down brought snow to some areas of Western Washington early Saturday.

Snow was reported in Gold Bar and Sultan, with many other areas reporting frost.

The cold weather will dominate Western Washington this weekend with morning lows in the 30s. Areas of fog should last through mid-morning before clearing to mostly sunny.

On Sunday, an approaching front will spread increasing clouds inland in the morning with rain developing. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40's.Showers will be likely early next week, along with some sun breaks. Highs will warm up to around 50's with overnight lows mainly in the upper 30s to near 40.

The Cascades will get some snow from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning. The snow level will be near 2,000 feet, so it will affect all of the major highway passes. Between four and nine inches of snow will fall before the snow level rises to about 5,000 feet and the parcipitations turns to rain.
