This week is National EMS Week, celebrating and honoring emergency workers and first responders across the country. It is also a great time to learn about the system and how to use it in the best possible ways.

Heather Wong from NORCOM, and Brant Butte fromAMR Ambulance stopped by the show today to provide an overview of the EMS System and break down what happens during a 911 call. They also shared tips to make the most effective 911 call.

Here are the other segments we did for National EMS Week this week:

  1. Tuesday, May 20: Why Seattle & King County are the best places to have a heart attack
  2. Wednesday, May 21: An inside look at the emergency room
