An intersection in Seattle s Green Lake neighborhood has a new look. Neighbors are pulling out their paint brushes and getting down to business painting a giant dragonfly at 4th Avenue NE and NE 60th Street.

The wingspan is a whopping 120 feet.

It s a green darner dragonfly, which is actually the state insect of Washington, said organizer Lisa Cach. And we re close to Green Lake, so we do see dragonflies a lot. It seems like a good fit, especially for a key intersection.

Neighbors say the project has been a great way to get to know each other.

Organizers hope to finish up Sunday.
