New video shows the technology that helped helicopter pilots who were first to arrive on the scene of the Oso landslide.

Churchill Navigation posted the videos that show before and after synthetic imagery of the slide debris field.

Using the ARS Mission Management System technology, flight officers were able to toggle back and forth between a real-time view of the slide area just after the slide occurred and the pre-slide, virtual view.

An overlay also displayed addresses, property boundaries and names of the owners of the homes affected by the disaster.

This new technology helped crews respond quickly and direct air and ground rescue to the most devastated and populated areas.
