Michael Robinson earned his first Super Bowl ring with the Seahawks in February. Now he s in the running for a Daytime Emmy.

The free agent fullback made his acting debut in Thursday s episode of the CBS soap opera The Young & the Restless, appearing in a scene opposite Eric Braeden, who has played tycoon Victor Newman on the show for years. The show s producers invited Robinson to make a cameo as himself [which he taped last month] after he told NFL Total Access during the playoffs that watching the show was his guilty pleasure.

Robinson elaborated on how his passion for the show originated during an interview with the NFL Network Thursday morning.

When my mom and dad were getting divorced and I was a young guy, about five or six years old, I remember going to my babysitter s house, he said. In Richmond, Virginia, Y&R came on after Divorce Court. I remember watching Divorce Court expecting to see my mom and dad. I didn t get a chance to see them so I just sat around and watched Young and the Restless.

Robinson, an eight-year NFL veteran, spent the last four seasons with the Seahawks.
