Former NBA star Dennis Rodman is defending his controversial visit to North Korea with a team of former NBA players, calling it a great idea for the world.

There are concerns for the welfare of US citizen Kenneth Bae, who has been detained for more than a year for unknown crimes.

I was outraged. How dare he, said Terri Chung, who has been working tirelessly to win her brother's freedom.

She worries the circus that is Rodman could hurt Bae's chances of release.

He could do a lot of good in advocating for Kenneth Bae. He chose not to. Instead now he's hurling accusations that kenneth has done something sinister, she said.

Chung says Rodman, for all his eccentritities, is the closest person to Kim Jong Un, who recently had his own uncle executed.

She hopes Rodman will look beyond politics and publicity and search his own soul.

He's not a diplomat and we get that. But we certainly would hope he would have a human heart.
