When it comes to summers, the Pacific Northwest is pretty hard to beat. People are starting to catch on.

A rating group from Oregon named the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue area as the most comfortable during the summer season in the U.S.

For most of the country, summer means high temperatures and humidity, with little to no relief. As of July 18, Seattle only had one day hotter than 90 degrees.

Seattle was followed on the list by fellow West Coast metropolitan areas of Portland and San Francisco. looked at factors such as mild temperatures, cool nights, low humidity to rank cities around the nation.
