SEATTLE - Eagle-eyed bird watchers have spotted some new babies in the popular eagle nest off the SR-520 bridge on the Seattle side.

The nest was long the home of 'Eddie' the eagle and his mate 'Eva.' But then last summer, an eagle believed to be Eddie was hit and killed by a bus crossing the bridge.

Now, Larry Hubbell reports on his blog 'Union Bay Watch' that Eva has found a new mate and the pair are raising eaglets in the nest.

Thanks to Hubbell for allowing us to share his great photos of the babies in the nest. You can read more on his blog here.

Thanks also to 'Montlaker' for tipping us to Hubbell's blog and photos.
