After a few days at the NFL Scouting Combine, former San Diego State running back Adam Muema reportedly decided to call it quits. Why? According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, he was just following instructions from a higher power.
He said he was following God, who told him if he missed workouts, he d play for the Seattle Seahawks. Playing for Seattle is his dream, Muema said. NFL teams are aware of the decision. Can t go wrong with God, Muema said.
Muema, who had three touchdowns and rushed for 230 yards in the Potato Bowl last season, is expected to go somewhere in the fifth or sixth rounds of the draft this year, though it s not clear how much his early exit will effect his ranking. He told the newspaper he would work out for teams in San Diego next month. For now, he s planning on following some more of God s orders: (God) told me to sit down, be quiet, and enjoy the peace, he told the Union-Tribune.
