What looks like a small city, complete with mess hall and shower facilities, has popped up in a Wenatchee park.

Confluence Park is the site of the Fire Command Center for the Wenatchee Complex. More than 1,200 firefighters from all over the Northwest are fighting the wildfires that continue to threaten homes and other structures.

Firefighters get a meal, a shower and some rest in the park.
