There's an organization whose sole purpose is to get books into the hands of children. Reach Out and Read Washington State partners with pediatricians and other medical professionals to distribute books and to teach young parents the benefits of reading to their children from birth.

State co-founders Dr. Jill Sells and Dr. Mary Ann Woodruff joined Margaret for the first in a series of conversations about the importance of reading with children and the health and social benefits of reading at various stages of growth.
