Issaquah, Wash. -- Worried people eager to get outside on what promises to be a spectacular fall weekend may be careless with fire, the region's fire service is warning those heading outdoors to be careful.
Stretch of dry weather fuels wildfire concerns
Bellevue issued a warning that the city's green spaces are far from green. The fire department is going so far as to warn people using barbecues in parks to use extreme caution with their charcoal.
Already tired and stretched thin, fire teams started the weekend busy. Outside Washougal in South West Washington, a wind whipped wildfire was threatening a business park.
The dry east winds coming off the Cascades are prompting a rare fire warning for Western Washington let alone in October.
