President Barack Obama will make his second Seattle campaign trip of 2012 next month, a Democratic Party official told KING 5.

The only detail available so far is the date -- Thursday, May 10 -- and that he will be here for events tied to his reelection campaign.

Obama was in Western Washington in February for fundraisers in Medina and Bellevue and a trade-related event at Boeing's assembly plant in Everett. He was in Seattle for fundraisers last September as well.

News of the Obama visit came on the same day that Rick Santorum suspended his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. That move effectively sews up the GOP nomination for Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor and investor.
