TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- D.J. Fenner scored 15 points and Mitch Brewe 12 to go with a game-high 14 rebounds, leading Seattle Prep to a 47-42 quarterfinal victory over O'Dea in the 3A boys tournament on Thursday.

The private Metro League schools, who are perennial state powers, split their two regular-season games.

This game featured 10 ties and 10 lead changes, and neither team led by more than eight.

The Panthers (23-5) tied it with 2:03 to go on a 3-pointer by Jackson Clough and were 8 of 8 from the line in the final 48.4 seconds while the Irish (20-8) turned the ball over twice. Brewe, who will play at UC Santa Barbara next year, made four of those final free throws.

The Irish were led by Sekou Wiggs' 15 points. Dana Abe scored 11 and Jacob Lampkin had 10 plus a team-high eight rebounds.

The schools have seven state titles between them.
