SEATTLE -- The three adults defendants charged in the January 2008 Seattle Metro bus tunnel beating, which was captured onvideo,have pleaded guilty for their involvement in the incident.
Latroy D. Hayman, 20, Domanique L. Whitaker, 18, and Tyrone J. Watson, 18, pleaded guilty Monday afternoon to theft in the first degree in the incident. Initially, the three were charged with first degree robbery, but the investigation failed to provide enough evidence to show intent of assault.
Watson and Hayman face 2 to 6 months in jail; Whitaker faces up to three months in jail.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 30.
A 15-year-old girl involved in the incident pleaded guilty last month to a charge of second degree assault. She was sentenced to 15 to 36 weeks at the Department of Juvenile Rehabilitation.
A 17-year-old boy pleaded guilty in March to fourth degree assault and misdemeanor harassment. A 17-year-old girl pleaded guilty last month to fourth degree assault. Both were sentenced in Juvenile Court to 30 days in detention.
