There's evidence a very high amount of saturated fat in diet may be associated with an increased risk for certain types of breast cancer.

Researchers in Italy analyzed data on more than 10,000 breast cancer victims.

A higher intake of total and saturated fat was associated with a greater risk for very specific types of breast cancer, includingestrogen receptor and progesterone receptor positive breast cancer and HER-2-Negative disease.

Experts encourage talking to your doctors about your personal breast cancer risk and dietary needs.
