KENT, Wash. -- Nine people were sent to the hospital including an infant in a two car accident in Kent Sunday night.

Investigatiors say a van collided with another car at the intersection of South 272nd Way and 55th Avenue South.

The accident happened shortly before 6 p.m when the van, which appears to be a church van, was driving down the hill. The van smashed into the passenger side of the car that was trying to turn left.

Two people were hurt in the heavily damaged car including one that is in critical condition.

The seven people in the van including the child had minor injuries but were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The investigation is still ongoing.
