SEATTLE, Wash. -- Micro-housing in Seattle is the topic being debated tonight at a special meeting.
The Seattle City Council's Transportation Committee is hearing from community representatives who will provide the neighborhood and marketplace perspectives on micro-housing.
Micro-housing projects are generally comprised of apartment or townhome-style dwelling units, each of which contains several (often seven or eight) smaller living quarters clustered around a shared kitchen and laundry area, according to press release from the Seattle City Council.
The city is seeing more micro-housing developments go up in Seattle. We have a crew at tonight's meeting and will bring you more details soon.
