In September 2010, in response to a number of LGBT youth taking their own lives, Seattle columnist and author Dan Savage created a youtube video that became known as the It Gets Better project. What began as way to give hope and support to young people turned into a worldwide movement that opened up conversation about tolerance and fear, and has led to more than 30,000 other user-created videos getting uploaded to the site.

Now it has inspired a musical theater project developed by the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, where they embark on a week long collaboration with local schools and artists, and culminates in a multimedia performance addressing the issues of bullying and teen violence. The cast of It Gets Better performs one of the original songs called All The Pretty Boys.

It Gets Better the musical theater project performs this Saturday, February 23rd at 8:00pm at the Moore Theatre.
