There was calm after the chaos in the tiny town of Gig Harbor on Sunday - and now there are questions.
Police say it was a 20-year-old woman who walked into the Peninsula Market on Saturday afternoon and started shooting.
We don't know why the lady decided to start shooting, said Chris Christensen.
I was on the deck when the sirens went by so i knew something was going on, said Pat Sullivan.
A customer in his 70s was hit in the leg, a man in his 30s was shot in the stomach. And a cashier was injured by a ricocheting bullet, all within seconds, and all before a customer tackled the woman until police arrived.
It puts us all on edge a certain amount there's not getting around that, said Christensen
It was the talk of the town on sunday in the tiny community of Wauna, population 4,000.
It makes you more leery, makes you look over your shoulder even though it was a woman because you see this on TV every day, said Pat Sullivan, who has lived in the area most of her life.
She just opened Jimmy's Pub on 94th Avenue. On Sunday it was a place to talk about the day their little town changed forever.
It did happen it did happen and now we have to live with it, kinda scary now, she said. it was very devastating. It's hard to imagine this is gonna happen in your tiny little community.
Witnesses say the 20-year-old suspect was targeting men because of something that happened in her past.
She is due in court for her first appearance tomorrow.
