SEATTLE -- At a shipyard on one side of Seattle, workers are winterizing two offshore oil rigs for drilling North of Alaska.

At a shipyard on the other side, a group hoping to prevent that drilling is making preparations of their own.

Greenpeace is getting its ship Esperanza to follow those rigs every step of the way up the West Coast. Shell Oil is convinced there are huge, untouched reserves in the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas and that it can safely drill for it with no harm to environment.

Greenpeace disagrees and claims the risks to those vital waters are not worth it. The group plans to follow the rigs and document everything that happens as they drill.
