SEATTLE - Some residents of a downtown apartment building were forced to evacuate late Friday evening after a building manager found suspicious chemicals inside a room. He worried the chemicals were being used to make some kind of drugs, so called the fire department.

The person who lives in the room was not at home.

Seattle Fire had evacuated residents from the sixth floor of the building at 111 Cedar Street while a HazMat team tested the chemicals.

Seattle Fire says the residents have since been allowed back into the building.

Seattle Police is now investigating the situation.
