A released State Patrol report reveals more details in the DUI arrest of Seattle Seahawks running back Spencer R. Ware over the weekend.

Early Sunday, police received calls of white Chevy Tahoe driving erratically and crossing in and out of lanes on westbound SR 520 to I-5. One the callers followed the vehicle to Seattle's downtown area and was able to report real-time updates to police.

After the vehicle ran a red light, a WSP trooper pulled over the vehicle in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood near 1st and Bell streets, in front of Tia Lou's bar. Ware was behind the wheel and had three other passengers in the car.

According to the DUI arrest report, Ware smelled intoxicated and his speech was slurred. Ware admitted he had been drinking and said he had a shot of vodka and a mixed drink.

When asked where he worked, Ware's answer was professional football. When he was asked if he had worked today, he said yea. He said after the game, he had started drinking around 10:30 p.m. at home with myself.

He told the officer he was a little bit sick and was going to drop them off at the club before he was stopped.

The officer said Ware was cooperative and took a voluntary field sobriety test. Ware took a Preliminary Breath Test and scored .124 on his first test and .122 on his second. The legal Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) limit in Washington state is .079 or less.

Jail records show Ware was booked into King County jail at 1:56 a.m. and released on $1,000 bail at 4:23 a.m.

Ware is on injured reserve and is not on the active roster. His arrest will not affect the lineup for the NFC Championship Game Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
