BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Bellingham police are asking for the public's help in identifying 11 individuals caught on surveillance cameras at last weekend's riots near Western Washington University.

Police have also made an additional arrest, a Western Washington University student, for his involvement in last Saturday's melee and were searching for two more people they've identified.

The student, who lives on campus, was booked into the Whatcom County Jail for Riot, Failure to Disperse and Interfering with a Street Sign. Two more people have also been identified, but have not been located by police yet.

Meanwhile, Bellingham police are teaming up with Western Washington University police and Whatcom County sheriff's deputies to increase party patrol efforts in Bellingham's residential areas. Bellingham police plan to use their Party Bus to respond to problem parties.

Parties that get out of control are not only a noise or nuisance concern, they are a public safety issue. And we will not tolerate any outbreaks of violence, said Chief Clifford Cook, of the Bellingham Police Department.

If needed, the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office will also provide their mobile booking vehicle, along with corrections officers, to assist with processing the arrested individuals.
