SEATTLE -- Forget your basic dark and milk chocolates. Now a days, think chili and coriander.

Visitors to the annual Northwest Chocolate Festival can expect to have your taste buds tickled.

This event is a real chance to try chocolate in ways you never imagined, said Barbie Van Horne, chocolate blogger.

The festival at the Washington State Convention Center is two days of pure chocolate decadence. Samples of chocolate from the finest artisan chocolatiers will be available.

Autumn Martin, chocolatier and owner of Hot Cakes in Ballard, will be a featured speaker the show. Martin's trademark molten chocolate cake is baked in a mason jar.

I use premium Theo's Chocolate. The cake is so decadent, one cake can easily serve two people or more, she said.

The Northwest Chocolate festival will also host over 70 workshops, seminars and tastings led by cop culinary professionals.
