Jazz Fusion/New Age composer and pianist Keiko Matsui is celebrating her 25th anniversary of recording in the US with the release of her 32nd album SOUL QUEST. She performed Black Lion, the first single from the CD, then joined guest host Kim Holcomb to talk about her extensive and successful career (the first Japanese musician to hit #1 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz charts, among other accolades) and what fuels her giving nature (she's donated performances and even song royalties to a number of causes).

Keiko will perform at Dimitriou's Jazz Alley tonight (August 29) through Sunday night. (please click on the link for showtimes and ticket information).
