A 19-year-old man is accused of killing a transient whose body was found Tuesday near Olympia, according to police.

The male victim's remains were found near a transient camp in southeast Olympia.

Christopher Harrison, who is also a transient, was arrested for second degree murder.

The victim's age is not known and it's unclear when the murder may have taken place, but the body showed signs of homicidal violence, according to Laura Wohl of Olympia Police.

The Thurston County Sheriff's Office and Olympia Police said they located several persons of interest during their investigation.

A tip from the public led police to the victim's remains.
