Eighteen rifle rounds were fired into an apartment in the Roxhill neighborhood in West Seattle overnight Monday. Fortunately, none of the six people inside the apartment at the time was injured.
Just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday near 27th Avenue SW and SW Cambridge Street, occupants inside the apartment said they awoke to gunfire and sounds of breaking glass, according to the SPD Blotter.
A witness told police he saw two black males running from the scene into a car parking in the 2900 block of SW Cambridge Street and fleeing the scene. Officers searched the area, but did not find the suspects or their vehicle.
None of the people inside the apartment had a reason someone would target their residence. Meanwhile, officers recovered 18 rifle casing from the street andmultiple bullets and bullet fragments inside the apartment and were processing the evidence.
