TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Metro League MVP D.J. Fenner scored 18 points and Mitch Brewe added 11 points leading Seattle Prep to a 50-46 semifinal win over Kamiakin Friday at the state 3A boys basketball tournament.

The Panthers (24-5) will play Metro League rival Rainier Beach in Saturday's title game. The Vikings won the regular-season contest and the league championship but the Panthers won their last game against Rainier Beach at district.

The Braves (23-2) just missed making it to the title game for the second straight year after losing in overtime of the semifinals last year. Justin Pedley was the only player in double-figures for the Braves, scoring 19 points on 7 of 12 shooting.

Rainier Beach has won five 3A titles and Seattle Prep two but the two teams haven't met in a title game.
