SEATTLE How does CenturyLink Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders FC sound to you?

It's likely going to happen after April 1. That's when the Louisiana-based telecommunications company is expected to complete a $22 billion merger with Qwest, which owns the naming rights to the Seattle stadium.

The company plans to evaluate the costs and benefits to change Qwest logos and names, CenturyLink spokesperson Annmarie Sartor said Thursday, but adds the company does expect to change Qwest Field to the CenturyLink name.

The Seattle Seahawks public relations office said it had just heard about the report late Thursday morning, but could not confirm the details.

The name changes could extend to Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho.
