Seattle Police confirmed Tuesday that they had arrested the man who attempted to steal a woman's car the day before.

The suspect was arrested in the University District, according to SPDspokesperson Renee Witt.

On Monday, officers searched for a man who tried to steal a woman's car while her kids were riding in the backseat.

It happened on Southbound I-5 at 112th Street in South Everett around 3 p.m.

Troopers say the man crashed his motorcycle, then tried to carjack the woman. She fought him off, but he managed to carjack someone else.

Troopers were looking for a white man in his 30's wearing a red jersey with a number 35 on it. He was believed to be in a black or silver Mazda Miata.
